FREESCO offers quite a lot of commands off-the-shelf, which can be quite confusing for a newbie. What do all these obscure named files in /bin and /sbin do?

The official FREESCO 0.3.x manual can be found at http://freesco.info/home/man/

It's available in several languages.

In addition to this official manual a FREESCO DokuWiki has been started recently in an attempt to get a better manual, written by the FREESCO community.

How do I setup a Win2K client to use the FREESCO print server?

First enable the print server on your�FREESCO if not done so already:
1. run setup
2. choose option a) Advanced
3. choose option�'Print Server'
4.�at question�'Enable Print Server(s) y/s/n' select 's' for secure
5. choose the default for the rest of the questions.
6. save new config and reboot
Oh yeah, don't forget to connect a printer to the LPT1 port ;)

There are some package that permit monitor freesco efficiency? Can I do a copy of freesco configuration, for recover freesco of a crash. Thanks

Hi,

check out slmon, sysinfo. Demo at http://pc1mh.nl.eu.org

You can backup the router to a floppy or copy the floppy. There is also a package for cd backup.
