Generic
how can I use more than 64Mb RAM?
When your freesco box has more than 64Mb RAM you will notice that the kernel will only report 64Mb. To fix this add the 'mem=' keyword to the LOADLIN line in your ROUTER.BAT file:
Example:
loadlin ..... root=/dev/ram0 vga=4 panic=15 mem=128M
for 128Mb memory. Reboot and the free command should show the new amount.
The ROUTER.BAT file can be edited in DOS mode and resides in the \\ROUTER directory or;
when you are logged in on your freesco box, the file is in /mnt/router/router.bat for 027 and in /boot/router.bat for 03x.
Update
This method may not work in combination with all motherboards / memory types. The freesco kernel may still only recognize 64Mb even with the loadlin line modified. In that case you're out of luck...
Other people have reported that loading DOS/Windoze memory managers in CONFIG.SYS may affect the amount of memory reported by FREESCO. In general, the simpler your CONFIG.SYS, the better.
