is PCMCIA supported?

Not by default for FREESCO 0.3.x, but a PCMCIA ZIP archive can be found on FREESCOSoft (or one of it's mirror sites).

This ZIP archive contains also documentation howto install the PCMCIA drivers and such, so FREESCO can run in fact from a laptop.

Comment of Office 2010 (2011-08-01 04:36:18):
Since this is a three Office 2010 user disc I tried to install Microsoft Office 2010 on an old laptop. That Outlook 2010 computer had Office 2007 Office 2003 running on it. The Microsoft outlook 2010 computer ran the Microsoft Office 2007 install program and I tried to upgrade Microsoft Office since it only gives you two choices, Office 2010 key upgrade and custom. It seemed to work but after sometime I got a setup failed Office 2010 professional message and Microsoft outlook is no longer on the MS Office 2007 programs list. When I run the Office 2010 download disc it advises me to repair or remove Office 2007 Professional Office 2003.

The setup is helpful, but can you epxand upon this with assistance on how to create a user and then set up access to a specific folder? I can't seem to get this to work at all and I thought I was pretty computer-savy. The new windows 7 administrative configuration is definitely giving me problems. Thank you in advance!
