When you boot the 03x floppy there's a choice to boot to shell only. How do you mount the hard disk to make repairs?

Q: When you boot the 03x floppy there's a choice to boot to shell only. How do you mount the hard disk to make repairs?

A: In the shell type command:

mnt /dev/hda1 /mnt/hd

Where /dev/hda1 is the linux device name of the harddisk you want to mount.
This forum thread describes what device name to use for a certain drive/partition.

When you're done, don't forget to unmount the drive again, the correct procedure for this is:

cd /
umount /mnt/hd
